I’m looking for input from businesses who have switched POS systems

I’m just wondering which system you originally had, what you switched to, why you made the switch, and if you are happier with your new system.

  1. Originally I had Clover and switched to Square. The total fees for clover were more than the processing fees for Square. Last year Square raised their processing fee so I’m hosed again. I hate credit card processors.

  2. I went from Erply to Square to Vend. I stayed with Vend because it integrated well with Shopify for online selling, great UX, super simple to set up and use.

Square was good if what your selling is simple, but you’re selling a lot of different things, services, goods, in store and online. A software like Vend is good.

Erply was good too but the UX needs updating, and it only suited my needs for instore selling. That was back in 2013 though so they likely have later versions already.
