self as full-time vs part-time employee for my s-corp

I’ve got a new s-corp and I’m setting up my reasonable salary for myself, using Gusto. The s-corp will be reimbursing me for health insurance costs, and overall paying me a set salary I’ve come up with. As an employee of my s-corp, are there any adverse consequences to being classified as part time (working less than 30/hr a week in payroll)? I am not offering myself any formal benefits other than normal reimbursements.

  1. As the owner of any business you should never place yourself as an employee but rather earn dividend or owner draws. As an employee you are taxed at a much higher rate vs dividend/owner draw.
