Medical miracle stories are not that unheard of. And they range in their severity bordering on the bizarre. In most cases the fatality of each case had zero chances of survival. But somehow the victims have received a second chance at life. Below are a number of cases that have been recorded in the recent past.
Alcides Moreno is a window washer aged 37 who went through quite an experience. After falling down a 47 story building he survived. His brother however died on the spot. On arrival at the hospital his doctors were afraid of moving him as they were afraid of causing more harm. He therefore got to be operated on at the emergency room and was left in a coma three weeks. Surprisingly though he woke up on Christmas day.
A teenage girl also wrote a medical history after being in an accident. The vehicle she was on was traveling at around 70mph when the accident happened. She came out alive having suffered multiple injuries to her body. After numerous surgeries the doctors managed to hold her body together with about eleven metal rods at different locations. After only five months she was well to the point of modeling. She was able to do this without the need to take painkillers to relieve her.
DZhana Simmons who was fourteen at the time also had an amazing encounter. She went through a heart transplant which unfortunately failed. She therefore had to be on a waiting list for another. This however took about 118days. Fortunately for her the second attempt succeeded so much that the very next day after having it fitted she was able to go for a kidney transplant.
Martin Jones who was a builder by profession was involved in some industrial accident that saw him blind. He stayed this way for several years until he was taken in for a rare surgery that had only been done a few times in Britain. This involved using part of his tooth as an implant to save his sight. This procedure finally succeeded enabling him to see his wife for the first time whom he had married four years earlier.
Two parents, Mike and Shannon Gimbel were agonizing over what choice to make. Their doctors had told them that they had to choose which baby to save from their unborn twins. They suffered a rare condition known as Twin-To-Twin Syndrome. This is where failure to terminate one may lead to the death of both or one of them. However after some special laser surgery to cauterize their blood vessels and enable them to lead independent lives they were able to make it alive.
Jordan Taylor was involved in an accident that decapitated his skull from the vertebrae. This severed any connection between the bones of his neck and head. His chances of survival were minimized to only one percent. But after much prayers and a surgery he was able to fully recover and is leading a normal life.
One can not mention medical miracle stories without talking of David Blancarte. After being in a motorcycle accident he lost the use of his legs. He lived this way for about twenty years and was hospitalized for eight months. However when he healed, he was able to regain the use of his legs once more.
