Luxurious ski resorts at their best

For those of us who not only love our all-inclusive hot summer holidays, but also want to bask in the snow and get our adrenaline pumping on the slopes, then we know that a ski resort holiday is where it’s at.

Ski holidays can also offer the all-inclusive options, with chalets providing an ‘all-in’ service of food, drinks, accommodation, flights, transfers and sometimes even ski hire and ski pass. Chalet set-ups have the advantage of being much more homely and cosy. They are a great way to meet other people as they work on a much smaller scale, averaging around 14 guests per chalet. There are also some amazing resorts on offer around the world.

There are many beautiful mountain resorts around the world, one of these being Whistler in Canada. Canada provides a backdrop for some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. With snowy top mountains, green fern trees, great lakes, beautiful wooden log cabins and some of the best skiing around, Whistler does not fail to impress. It is however one of the more expensive resorts for skiing, not only due to its long haul location, but also because of its exclusive and luxury accommodation and amenities it provides.

For somewhere closer to home we have vast amounts of options within Europe. Val D’Isere, France in particular holds home to some of the most luxurious chalets around. With Michelin starred chefs and accommodation to die for. The resort holds home to a vast array of quality restaurants, bars and shopping; a resort that caters to all.

Lapland is a fantastic option if you are looking for a family all-inclusive winter holiday. It will not fail to provide amusement for children and adults alike. With the winter festivities beginning from October onwards, there is a large window for holidays to take place in light of Christmas and resorts such as the infamous Kupa resort in which to get some skiing practise in.

Admittedly ski holidays are vastly different from a beach holiday, and those who love summer holidays would prefer to spend the money on a luxury resort somewhere hot than a cold, skiing holiday in the mountains. However, holidays in the mountains are like nothing else, and are definitely something everyone should try once in their lifetime.
