A traffic sign could mean the difference between life and death. These signs are not just there for your entertainment. They are there to save your life and the lives of other people. For instance if you see a children crossing sign and ignore it, a child could lose their life. No one wants that on their conscience.
The reasons you have to learn the traffic signs to pass your driving test is because if you do not know the signs you could hurt someone or even kill someone. Traffic signs are also to help you and other drivers to know when and where they need to go. If two cars are trying to go down the same road and the sign says merge but no one merges then there is going to be a wreck and someone could be hurt.

Many people that have had their license for many years usually can tell what a sign is just by the shape and color but it is still very important that you read that sign. There are different signs like restrictive signs, informative signs, priority signs, warning signs and that’s just to name a few.

Most traffic signs are displayed where all drivers can see them however there are occasions where a speed limit sign on a small road may be blocked by a tree or shrub. In a case like this the town should move that sign or remove what is blocking it.
If you are not able to see a stop sign or speed limit sign then you could end up with a ticket that is not your fault. If this happens to you then you should certainly fight it in court because the sign should be where you can see it clearly.
